The law of N+1 strikes again. I have added another bike to the fleet. I managed to score a Specialized Sequoia Expert at auction. I am not sure about the model year, but I suspect that it might be a 2003. The frame does have some scuffs, but no damage. The saddle also has some scuffs. I was not expecting to find a suspension seat post, which is a bonus.
I tried to ride it when I got it home, but the rear tire would not hold air. I swapped out the tube, but the tires are starting to dry rot. I will try to order some new tires tonight. It currently has a 25mm on the back and a 26mm up front. If possible, I would like to squeeze a bit more rubber in there. I can already tell that I will need to tune up the drive train. The rear derailleur is having some problems shifting into lower gears. Other items on my short list are rewrapping the bars and tuning the brakes.
My first task is to give it a general cleaning and a thorough inspection. I will get it cleaned up this weekend and maybe take it out for a short ride around the neighborhood. I should have a better idea of what I am getting into tomorrow morning.
